Diamond Name Necklaces: Pavé Letters, Natural Diamonds, See It First
Posted by YANIV SEGAL

A diamond name necklace spells a name in solid gold letters set with natural diamonds. Ours start from $3,470, come in 14K or 18K yellow, rose or white gold, and use English letters only. Type the name on the product page and you see it drawn with diamonds in about a minute, before you order. Here is what to know about the design, the diamonds and the preview.

What is a diamond name necklace?
A classic name necklace is cut from solid gold: the letters are the pendant. A diamond name necklace keeps that idea and sets the letters with small natural diamonds in a pavé style, so the whole name catches light. The gold still frames every letter, which keeps the name easy to read from across a room.
It is a different piece from a plain gold name necklace, not just a dressier version. Gold reads warm and graphic. Diamonds read bright and festive. Many of our clients own one of each: gold for every day, diamonds for evenings and milestones.

The question we hear most is simple: what will my name actually look like? Every name has a different shape. A short name like Mia sits compact; a longer one like Rosalind stretches wide. That is why we built a live preview into the product page.
- Open any diamond name necklace page, such as Elowen or Celeste.
- Type the name you want, up to 9 letters, in one or two words. Letters only, in English (Latin) characters.
- Press Generate necklace.
- In about a minute, you see your name drawn in gold with diamonds.
- Choose 14K or 18K and yellow, rose or white gold, then order.
The diamond preview takes about a minute because it renders each set stone along the letters. The gold-only preview is faster, about 30 seconds. Either way, you approve the look before anything is made.

Why diamond name necklaces use English letters only
Setting diamonds needs room. Each stone sits in a small seat cut into the gold, and the letter must be wide enough to hold a row of them securely. Latin letters have broad, even strokes that work well for this. Many other scripts rely on fine strokes, dots and connecting marks that are beautiful in solid gold but too thin to hold diamonds safely.
So if the name you want is in another alphabet, choose a gold name necklace. Our gold name necklaces support 10 scripts: Latin (English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, German and other languages using Latin letters), Hebrew, Arabic (including Persian/Farsi and Urdu letters), Chinese, Japanese (kana and kanji), Korean (Hangul), Hindi (Devanagari), Russian (Cyrillic), Armenian and Thai. Our guide to name necklaces in any language walks through each one.

Choosing the metal for a diamond name necklace
The gold color changes how the diamonds read:
- Yellow gold gives the most contrast. The warm outline makes each letter crisp, and the diamonds look whiter beside it.
- White gold blends with the diamonds for an all-over sparkle; the name reads as one bright line.
- Rose gold sits between the two: soft and romantic, flattering on warm skin tones.
14K is slightly harder and more affordable; 18K has a richer color. For a necklace worn often, both are excellent.
Tips for a name that looks its best
- Stay within 9 letters. Shorter names show larger letters at the same width.
- Use the preview to compare a full name with a nickname; one often looks better than the other.
- Two words work, such as a first name and initial, but each word takes space from the other.
- Double-check the spelling before ordering. The preview shows exactly what you typed.
- Ordering a gift? Save a screenshot of the preview to slip into the card.
